Wow, it has finally happened. I'm back.
Long story short: laptop crapped out from overheating. Can't get the heatsink/fan assembly from the manufacturer anymore. Finally found one on eBay (thanks Zelia!). Finally got it two days ago. Installed it and now it's working most of the time. Still has a slight overheating issue, but I'm working on that.
I will go into more details later. Right now, I'm just letting all of you know (if you're still even there) that I am indeed alive and well. Or at the very least, alive.

Where did you come up with the title "How did you get here and what went wrong?". Very creative title and I would be interested in your inspiration behind it.
Finally, someone has commented on my title!
Well, I got that name from a friend of mine many years ago. He told me about a story of one of his friends who took hours to get to a party that should have only taken about 10 minutes. When the friend got there, someone asked him "How did you get here and what went wrong." Myt friend, knowing of my love of writing, said I should use that as a title for a book or something. I still would like to, but for now, it's the title of my blog.
