I Failed My Hide Check

Well, I attempted to hide from Bus Talker this morning, but he made a bee-line straight for me. I must have failed my Hide check miserably. To make matters worse, I believe I have run out of hiding spots on the bus, unless I start riding on the roof or underneath. Who am I kidding? He'd still find me. At least this time he didn't talk the entire way. Maybe he's beginning to see that I just don't care about what he has to say. But I don't have to worry about that for two days now. Yay weekend!

Yesterday was my work's Christmas party. It was lots of fun and much beer was drank. Drunk? Curses, sometimes I just can't remember the word to use. Oh well, much beer found it's way into mah belly. That'll work. And I'm not worse for wear now. But I drank lots of water before I went to bed. That always helps.

We were supposed to get dumped on with a massive snow storm. And that really didn't happen. I hate it when the news makes a big deal about "the huge snow storm that will dump a crap load of snow" because then everyone overreacts and panics and stuff like that. Then the accidents happen because everyone is driving all scared. The majority of us in Canada have grown up and gotten used to weather like that. We should know what to expect. The only people who have any excuse at all to get nervous are those who have never driven in snow before. But then that's only good for one winter. After that, tough luck.

Stealthy Covert Bus Action

Due to my incrediable ninja-like skills, I was able to hide from the Talker this morning on the bus. I, get this, kinda hid behind someone near the back of the bus. Totally random, but when I got there, I realized that no one from the front could see me. So I stayed there and sure enough, I saw Talker get on, but he didn't see me. It was a great ride. I think I smiled all the way to work. But then Talker got off the bus, he saw me. So I don't think I can do the same thing tomorrow. But I'm going to try.

Now for something completely different:

I was browsing Fark for interesting news tidbit when I came across this one. I have no idea what to think. Read it and you'll see what I mean.

It's Movie Time and Other Things

Well, since I last posted I have watched four, yes four movies. Three DVDs and one in theatre.

The DVD movies were Mr. and Mrs. Smith, Unleashed and The Fantastic Four.

Mr. and Mrs. Smith was entertaining, but I felt let down. But just a bit. I guess the trailers made me expect more. But still entertaining. Unleased was excellent. I loved it. And a Jet Li/Morgan Freeman combination worked really well. Go watch it. Now! The Fantastic Four was better than I thought. It was quite enjoyable. I'll admit, I'm not as familiar with those characters as I am with other Marvel superheros, but I still enjoyed the movie a lot.

The move I saw in theatre was Aeon Flux. Damn, that was a good movie! Very similar to the anime, so I was happy to see that. The effects were amazing and the story was very good too. Cool plot. And, um, Charlize Theron was a nice addition too. Heh, heh, heh.

Today and for the next week or two for sure, I won't be as alone as I usually am at work. Nope, not with all the upgrading and new equipment that will be installed. But I can live with that. I hope. I won't bore you with all the details, but one cool (so far) thing is that our IDs will now have mugshots. And guess who looks after that? If you guessed me, you are right. If you didn't guess me, what is wrong with you?

Changes...

As some of you may have noticed, I have changed the name of my blog. Why? I felt like a change. Why that phrase? Because I love it. A friend of mine once used that phrase. I just love the sound of it and the images it conjures in the mind's eye. If you don't like it, let me know. Maybe I'll change it...*snicker*

It snowed last night and made everything pretty to look at. Not to walk in, as I did heading for the bus. I neglected to look out the window before I left and I wore my work shoes and didn't bother to lace them up. I get out side and crap, snow everywhere. I had to walk on the road because the sidewalk hadn't been done yet. Didn't get any snow in my shoes and that made my bus ride more pleasant.

Speaking of the bus, Talker didn't talk to me but only because I was feeling shitty, which made me feel better. Screwed up my neck last night and wasn't feeling good at all when I got up. So I took this ill-health and turned it into an excuse not to talk to Talker. When he got on and asked how I was, I told him I screwed up my neck and I didn't know if I wanted to sleep or throw up (exact words). He didn't say a thing to me the entire trip. I kept my eyes closed too, for effect. It was wonderful. I much prefer a music-filled bus ride to a talk-filled bus ride.

Still waiting for my most awesome mouse. I was told it would be available first week of November. Those lying bastards. I may have to wait until the new year to get it. You know, I don't buy many new things for my laptop and the one thing I find and really want I can't have. It's like the Universe is having a laugh at my expense.

But that doesn't surprise me at all.

Edit: Forgot to mention that I'm using the JapanBlack theme for my Firefox and I love it. It's so unusual and different. It's awesome.

It's been a while and I have nothing new to say

Hmmm. Been gone a long time. Where to start? That should be easy, as not much has happened. But I'm sure as I blog, I'll think of more things to say.

First off, my NaNo attempt died at about 20,000 words. I started off real strong, then work got in the way. Lost 2 guards during the month, so that didn't help at all. I also ended up working some weekends. Maybe next year.

Installed Firefox 1.5 today - it's pretty sweet. Some of the extensions I had weren't compatable. Most were, so that makes me happy. I'm taking a break from going through all the extensions available to me. And, my God, there are tons of them. Firefox is running quite well. I've only noticed a few things that are new, but I'm sure there are lots of fixes and the like. Regardless, it works and I like it.

Newest movie I saw in theaters was Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. A damn fine and fun movie. But the theater was packed. But we got there in good time, so we gots the seats we wanted. Lucky us.

The only crappy thing that has happened has to do with my morning bus ride. I now have a "bus buddy" that I don't want. When I'm riding the bus in the morning, I just want to either listen to my music or sleep. Occasionally, I do both. Well, now I can't do either because my bus buddy talks and talks and talks. About stuff I don't care about. And the tangents he goes off on. I get so confused when he opens his mouth. But I'm such a nice guy, I won't tell him to shut the hell up and leave me alone. Maybe I can get him fired from his job. Then he wouldn't be on the bus with me. That option could be more fun.

Perhaps my Legions of Doom would be useful here...
